Captain(s)

My first idea for this was huge. A gigantic Sergio Aragones-style cocktail party with every captain I could think of. My excuse is running out of time. We have a huge party on Saturday and guests from Atlanta right now.

So, here's what you get. A sketch:

After this, they are both going to enter the Silliest Boot competition. I thought about including the female Captain Marvel and having her saying something like "Cry me a river, cap."

Swinebread should recognize the silhouette on the far right. One of the unsung captains...

I always thought Captain America was kind of lame compared to other heroes, not to get too geeky here but come on, shouldn't his clothing be bullet proof, and how about a weapon other than the great American deep dish pan. He could and should be much cooler, I mean Captain can fly, is super strong and invulnerable, Cap can throw a mean pie though, woohoo! OK, I just outed myself as uber geek.

Very nice. The question is, how long will Captain A stay dead?

So are the silhouettes all specific "captains" or just general shapes?

I always liked Cap (although I haven't red much of his Post 9/11 adventures) but have been disappointed by his live action movies. His costume is one that looks great on paper but looks really, REALLY stupid in real life. Who could pull of red swashbuckler boots?

Yes! Finally some love on the Down Low for Captain Carrot!

New Zoo Crew mini and collected adventures out soon!

Funny stuff, that's what Earth X Should have been about! :D

I'm a girl, and soooo out of it here. I never read any of the superhero comics. I read "Tom and Jerry", "Bugs Bunny", and "Archie" instead!
Now I find I'm culturally deprived.

ohhhh...i had NO idea he was dead. did frank moore kill him off? i totally lost track of him. kind of reminds me (in a verrry benign way) of bit of the watchmen...so sad that even superheroes have dull afterlives. ")
