Hey, there!
Because it was only four pages, I've posted the whole thing at once.
It worked pretty good, if I do say so myself. I've tried an entirely new inking and coloring style. Let me know what you think of it.
It's an expansion of a one-pager I did for Illustration Friday two years ago today. I When I did it I thought it was pretty good, but now that I look at it... 'ewww' is too weak a word. I still like the story, obviously, but the art? Ewww. If you feel like looking at 'ewww', here you go.
Also, Swinebread mentioned that he wasn't sold on the Obscure Tales logo. I do have some concerns myslef, but I'd like to know what you all think. Should I change the OT logo and what, if anything, would you like to see in it?

WOW! that rocked hard! i thought it was cool that you included the old-school ads...
Fast and quick! Good story too....
Don't know about the logo...I think everything you do is great!
and ditto samaz...those are the same ads I remember...although one w/the Sea Monkeys and the Joke store stuff (whoopee cushions, disappearing ink...etc.) would be good too!
That is an interesting inking style. Reminds me of manually silk screened t-shirts with the three colors. It does look like you are new to inking that style, but since you are, it is a great start.
As far as the OT logo goes, I like it myself. I grabbed a pile of comics and looked at all the logos to see what about yours is different. I like that it looks inked rather than the modified existing fonts I saw in my comic pile. The one possible negative is that you shaded yours using "old school" inking techniques while all of the comics in my pile were either straight outline, back shadow, or obviously computer-generated gradient fill. I favor your old-school look.
That story is really, REALLY good.
Like samax I liked the old ads.
That was the cutest monster ever.
Logo is fine.
Great Work!
When it comes to the OT logo I've been thinking quite a bit.
In a sense, your logo is a pastiche of things like tales of the Crypt, Weird Science and other EC logos.
If that's true, the OT logo might be greatly improved if Obscure and Tales were completely different fonts. See the various EC covers.
Also, some of EC’s titles have drop shadows on some of the words. It might be worth playing around with this.
Messing around with the color might be helpful too. Maybe a fade on one or both of the words? A colored border on one or both?
In any case, I feel that the words Obscure and Tales need to be distinct from each other. Tales is a shorter word than Obscure so making them the same font and stretching out tales doesn’t seem to work IMHO.
That’s my 2 ½ cents, keep up the fantastic work.

a drop shadow would definitely help
