BBWW redux

So, my last BBWW was considered grotesque. Even without my usual hatred of my art minutes after its completion, I have to agree. Here's another. It looked really good inked, not so good scanned. Hmmm. I'd like to blame the scanner, but that's probably a cop out. I actually wonder if I need to find a good inker; my pencils look great, my inks... need work. I'm going to submit it to the BBWW blog. I'm just not sure whether the background works or not (or if the entire thing works at all). Sure, it's kind of weird, but at least it's not another Elevated Bear...

Opinions?

Listening to while posting, Selected Shorts on the Vermont Public Radio stream. It's the 'dog' show. Pretty damn funny. Especially Sleeping with Dogs on a King-Sized Bed.

wow.

That is one of the most brain-warping things I have ever seen...

it's really weird subject matter... but it's also drawn and inked so DAMN WELL!

DO YOU WANT ME TO GO MAAAHD????

if the answer is yes, send us a text to the number on your hand.

and, oh yes. Send it in without the backround.
...
please.
I already puked enough when I saw spider-man infront of an american flag in spider-man 3...

your art is fantastic enough without having to put a silly old flag behind it.
Trust me. ;-)

Sorry to blow your mind. Thanks for the praise, too (must... convince myself that... work sucks to avoid enlarged ego).

Yeah, the background is a bit much. I wasn't being jingoistic, just a bit ironic. Like WW in DC: New Frontiers.

Also, as far as the background goes, she could be crashing the State of the Union address and using the truth-getting Golden Lasso on a few choice individuals...

Nice! Better than most of the stuff on that blog.

It would be interesting to see some of your stuff inked with a thick line like Kirby or Buscema.

Swine: I think you're onto something. I was just thinking that my linework doesn't have the 'surety' that Kirby's (or my idol Alan Davis') work had (has).

I think I'll bump up to a bigger nib on the next finished work

You know, I don’t usually suggest someone take at look at certain comic just for art, but I would suggest The Essential Silver Surfer. Buscema’s work in that collection is fantastic and since it’s in black and white you really get to see the mastery of the inking over his glorious pencils.

Alan Davis is a nice choice too because your work is a more fluid like his.

new and improved consortium is up (and by new and improved I mean in the goold old fashioned american/european advertising way: new picture slapped on the front)

but it's a good picture, so I'd like it if you checked it out. ;-)
